RE: Separation wall drywall defects

Westlake Board of Director chose FIRETEK AS THE SOLUTION for there separation wall defects. By using FireTek we were able to apply our intumescent coating on BOTH sides of the drywall (2units). Both homeowners are protected, and drywall defects are eliminated to meet the 2 hour wall assembly ASTM E-119 2 hour fire test requirements. FireTek was able to save thousands of dollars vs other systems. Another benefit that FireTek provided was protecting against (Flashover), since drywall is a fuel source because the first layer is thin paper. FireTek also contains the fire from spreading to existing walls such as the 1/2″ drywall.
